Scholarship Allows Brandt to Conduct Necessary Research |
Eric Brandt, who along with Jimmy Jun, serves as a Religious Liberty research assistant, explained how being a scholarship recipient afforded him the opportunity to conduct necessary research for his thesis. Brandt is a graduate student at Wheaton College in the History of Christianity program.
"I am a grateful recipient of the 2009/2010 John Witherspoon Religious Liberty Scholarship. A graduate student currently completing my program in the history of Christianity at Wheaton College, Illinois, I am writing my thesis on religious skepticism and unbelief in late 19th-century America. The funds provided by the Center’s scholarship enabled me to conduct necessary research at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield, Illinois. I sincerely appreciate the support the Center has shown for my work in American religious history." |

"Thanks to the generosity of the John Witherspoon Religious Liberty Scholarship I was able to experience two ministry and academic related conferences in the U.S. and abroad during the past 2009/2010 academic year.
